The Dana Measure of the Financial Cost of Conflict
Discover the hidden cost of conflict in your organisation.

The Dana Measure of the Cost of Conflict , in the form of this "online calculator", is one of the two instruments used for benchmarking in the Training System of the Mediation Training Instutute, a strategic plan for conflict management. The other instrument is the Dana Survey of Conflict Management in the Workplace.

This public version of the Dana Measure gives an estimate of the hidden cost of conflict in the workplace.

The Dana Measure is used in combination with the Survey and statistical sampling techniques to compare the avoidable cost of internal conflict for our clients.

Instructions

Think of a conflict at work - one that you know well, or perhaps that you were, or are, involved in. Keep this conflict in mind in deciding what values to enter in the calculator.

Enter your estimates into the boxes below. Use the monetary units of your country, if you wish (without mixing units).

Only use whole numbers - without commas or decimals.

We recommend that you remain conservative in your estimates. The results showing the cost of conflict will be eye-openng without exaggeration.
